photo scavenger hunt

Aunt Valerie is the most fun!
She organized a photo scavenger hunt for us
to do along with her and her roommates.
How fun is that?!

A person had to be in each photo and each
item  on the list had to be it's own photo.

1. Something alive and not human
(an easy thing to achieve when you live with a Tate)

2. A tree

3. Something with wheels

And then the weather went sour, so
we had to move it inside...

4. Something yellow

5. Something glittery
(Paige's shirt...and the impossible to see
confetti that they threw...)

6. A painting
(by my super talented Grandma!)
...museum spotlighting by Josh...

7. Everyone under blankets
(our blanket fort!)

8. People doing the Y.M.C.A.

9. Something you have read
(times all three kids taking a turn sitting on the books)

10. A uniform
(Paige even grabbed my Girl Scout uniform!)

11. Group hug!
(times all the ones I took because they're so cute!)

12. A street sign
(again, creative with the indoor search)

13. Something red

14. A ladder

15. A bird

16. A handstand

(and a handstand with help)

17. A wheelchair

18. A flag
(didn't realize how goofy his expression was...)

19. Singing into a microphone

20.  A piece of jewelry
(she chose her locket from Santa)

21. A human pyramid
(with a reluctant topper...who was bribed with our final photo)

22. Candy!

I really want to do this again!
Maybe this will be a weekend tradition for a little bit...

day hike- part 1

Before things reeeeaaaallllly got shut down,
we went for a little hike near by.

Prepping the littles.

And we're off!!

We knew there would be
quite a bit of carrying involved in this day.

Carrying and snacks...

We found the biggest leaves!
They were so cool!

Tate was in awe.

It's like the painting of the man with
an apple instead of a face...

I mean seriously, look at those guys!

Carrying round 2

Gotta love getting into the woods.

Josh even took some pictures!
I was there!!

Love this one!

My blurry little crew and me.

Added bonus of the camelbaks?
Kids can carry their own snacks, too!

Someone enjoyed her blue M&Ms.

And my pkp rehydrating the lil bap.

So funny...and still so convenient.
It was soooooo nice not to carry water bottles or
a bag of snacks. I had a diaper and wipes in my ergo...
so we were ready!

Thanks for this one, Josh!
Nice to be in some of the photos.

And then Tate was a Tate and sneezed a Tate sneeze.

Dad to the rescue with...
...pine needles?
Seriously?

That doesn't even seem kind of smooth.

He's a trooper!

Finally!
A big, soft leaf.

...to be continued.

brooke on the driveway

...and to round out my driveway posts,
a little Brookie Boo in the spotlight.

This feels like a timeless picture to me.
Just a serious kid in the garage.
Something that's been happening for decades.

And I'm posting these again because it looks like
it didn't work the first time.

Brooke loves our treehouse.
Tate and Paige enjoyed building it and hunting down
the perfect stick...but
Brooke is the one who can just sit and
play with it day after day.

Judgey scowl and all.
