behind the scenes of monthly pictures

So really when I'm taking Brooke's monthly pictures,

I have big kids begging to join. 

I love these bedhead, pj wearing, Cricut accessory holding pictures.

Kids in pajamas are just the best. 

Although Tate's current favorite attire is "Nakey Boy!"

I love these sisters!

Poor Tate fell and scraped his face...riiiiight under his nose.

How did he manage that?

This picture cracks me up!

Paige drew an iPad on a piece of paper and has been carrying it around for a few days.

Well, after I finished Brooke's pictures I found Paige taking

pictures of her baby in Brooke's spot.

She's tickling her to get a good smile.

There was high pitched baby talk and photo taking noises from the iPad.

So then I convinced Paige to let me get pictures of her with her baby.

Y'all- this is the bedhead status Paige wakes up with everyday. 

Haha!

cookies for the neighbors

Who wants to make cookies for the new neighbors?!

And by "make cookies" I mean break the pre-made dough apart...

And by "make cookies" I mean slip some dough into 

our mouths while we work...

The big kids were on board!

...and happy to be on the counter.

Paige wouldn't get started until she was wearing her cooking gear!

I sure love that girly girl!

brooke 8 months

There she goes, getting older again!

Poor Brooke has ear infections and wasn't feeling our photo shoot.

Then she ate the sticker...so there's no trying again.

Haha!

I just love that sneaky little tongue!

This little grin was cracking me up!

...and then she just gave up on the pictures...

That poor sticker never had a chance.

And this is the position Brooke gets into when she's tired. 

Hands together and up against her cheek. 

There's no pulling her out of this tight position. 

How are we creeping up on 9 months already?!

ear infections and more

This house is no stranger to ear infections. 

We’re also used to Tate having 

cough attacks and needed his breathing treatments. 

And why not have these issues right before 

we are all getting on a plane? 

To the doctor we go! 

Usually we would just do breathing treatments

for Tate and let his cough work itself out, 

but sometimes he needs meds to help kick it. 

Boy am I glad I made him an appointment. 

He has double ear infections and early signs 

of pneumonia. 

Ahhhhh! Scary! 

Medicine and breathing treatments and he’ll

be good as new. 

Brookie Boo has double ear infections as well, and

won’t move from this position. 

So here’s to getting these kids healthy before 

we head to celebrate my cousin’s wedding.
