halloween

My favorite holiday to photograph has

officially come and gone. 

Let me just say, it did not disappoint. 

Paige was Ree Drummond, The Pioneer Woman. 

Her love of all things Pioneer Woman is

my new favorite thing. Stay tuned for

her Pioneer Woman themed birthday. 

You better believe she already has it planned. 

Tate was a fly. 

…and at his request, Josh was a spider. 

I still need to get a picture of them together. 

You can barely see Josh’s homemade

costume on the side of Paige. 

And my Brookie Boo was an elephant. 

Trick or treating is so much fun with

kids and their friends. 

Paige ditched her wig pretty early on. 

I should’ve found colored spray for her hair. 

Our hilarious lil friend tried it on and

it was so funny. 

I’m telling you, these kids were

booking it this year! 

I have only a tiny few pictures of the big kids. 

Brooke is pretty dang quick, too. 

She did have a moment of regretting

all her running. 

Hahaha that picture deserved a permanent spot. 

Don’t worry, they got a second wind. 

…and turned into teenagers. 

Tate and his new Like friends were absolutely

precious to watch. They were in heaven.

bestie slumber party

When it’s October and you’re having

a bestie slumber party…

You get matching jammies! 

It took a minute for Brooke to come around

to the idea of Paige matching her best friend and

not her. 

…but I already owned Brooke’s pjs and

my 3 kids coordinate, so that’s that. 

She recovered quickly. 

She usually does. 

Then it was story time with the best

Dad around. 

You better believe there were so many

snuggles between all these kids before bed. 

These girls are the best kind of friendship. 

Even Tate wanted in on pictures…

he’s usually refusing! 

Time for sleep! 

Just an absolute doll, this one. 

…and my fall porch thanks to cute rugs from

my mom!

like 30 hours together. 

brooke’s first day

She did it! 

She started pre-k!! 

My little one is in her last year

of preschool….gahhhh!

This girl is ready and definitely

thinks she runs this school. 

She got her dream teacher, so that

really helps make everyday

so much fun. 

I had Brooke take a photo of me, because

I started subbing at the school

(And have only had 2 days off in the

first 4 weeks of school)

I might need to work on her photography skills. 

My little sidekick and I went out for a

First Day of School treat!

Such a cute set up! 

Brooke insisted on some photos. 

Fast forward a few weeks and 

I redid her porch photo because

I forgot to switch her to the PreK sign.

star blanket tag

This girl. 

She loves her star blankets. 

More specifically she loves her

star blanket tags. 

If we really want to get into it, 

she much prefers freshly laundered 

tags on her star blanket. 

I’m so thankful we have a set of 3. 

I wish I could find more, 

but I know having more than one coveted

lovey is a blessing. 

If she’s anything like her Aunt Valerie

or her Tauntie, she’ll still

have these blankets well into

her thirties. 

I sure love a snuggled up kid. 

double dimples

Ever since Tate was born and I 

caught the tiniest first glimpse

of his dimple, I’ve had a photo idea in

my mind. 

I randomly tried to pull it off the other

day when Tate and Paige were

playing around. 

Basically I need them to look at

each other and smile. 

This shouldn’t be that hard. 

It was. 

It was hard, but it was also hilarious. 

For whatever reason, Tate fighting

his real smile made his

dimple hard to see. 

I was also taking these pictures while

sitting in my recliner. 

Maybe that was the actual problem. 

…also, my kids all still snuggle

onto me when I sit in my recliner. 

I’ll try to get this photo the 

next time I have the kids out and

about with my camera…

first day of school

Well, the day arrived! 

The first 3 days of school are

officially under our belts. 

Omi French braided Paige’s hair

on Tuesday so that she could have

crimpy hair for day one. 

She got dressed and when I took

the braids out of her hair, she said

“I look like I’m in a magazine!”

And that, my friends, is exactly the 

kind of confidence I want this

kid walking into life with. 

You. Go. Girl. 

And my sweet Taters was so very

excited to get to school. 

I’m so thankful for his

absolute love for school. 

I just wish he would

smile with his adorable teeth. 

And Brooke. 

She was sad not to start school yet. 

She’s been happily crafting alllll the hours

she waits in her siblings to get home. 

We got the best teachers!

of Paige’s hair without her 

backpack pushing it all forward)

Then I headed to second breakfast

with my friends!

Honestly, Brooke has been 

so content to have me to herself, 

but it’s impossible to get things 

done around the house. Haha

Her elephant nose is going strong

these days. We’re loving her

little curriculum! 

We were so happy to go

get the kids!

A storm rolled in and then Paige 

wore Brooke for maybe 45 minutes or

an hour. They were smitten to be 

reunited again!
