dressy walk

We had an impromptu fancy walk around the
local gardens. It all started with my hopes to get 2020 bluebonnet pictures.
This garden was the best shot I had at making that come
true considering we're on "Stay Home" orders and Josh
wouldn't want to drive far for pictures anyway.

But these gardens were beautiful! We'll have to go back again when we
don't have to tell the kids not to touch all the benches.

Everything was immaculate and oh so colorful!

My camera ran out of space within about 5 minutes
of getting there.
Oh well!

The boys hunted for some crazy looking lizards!

We finally had to tell Tate not to get into too much
thick brush/bamboo because the "Caution: Snake" signs
were a bit unsettling.

Oh my stars. They are just the cutest.

Haha, Tate in these next few...

I'm not the oldest in my family, but
I can only imagine that this is what it feels like.

Paige loves this lil lady so much!

I love this messy photo...although I wish I hadn't
run out of space. This little spot was
so dreamy and the kids (aka Tate) were
all participating willingly.

We will be back to check out all the
different spots in here!

Until next time...

bike rider

We’ve got a big kid
with no training wheels!!!

Just kidding, not her.
And yes, that helmet is backwards.

Paige learned how to ride her bike today.
It was time, she’s been
ready for awhile...

She took off! Josh ran with her for a few
laps around the parking lot, but she
only needed help once. She’s
a natural!

Tate was bug hunting and
Brooke and I colored with chalk
on the school’s sidewalk.

I think we have a ton of bike rides in
our near future.

She was ready for another round after
Uncle Jon’s birthday party
(via Zoom, because Corona)

I’m so proud of her!
This kid is so easy to coach.

Brooke was thrilled.

Haha
Tate was a good sport and loved
being outside (as per usual.)

Here are the bigs with a random squish.

And here is yet another coloring page I
finished today. It’s addicting!

Love this crew!

family walk

Hello from my computer!
You heard that right, my computer!!!

I couldn't be happier.
Y'all, this beautiful machine needs some
serious attention and I've been avoiding it.

In an effort to not avoid my blog, I've been
posting from my phone which is fine, but significantly
harder in some ways.

So...here's a little family walk from February
to get back into the swing of things.

...because I'm still avoiding the actual task of cleaning
up my iPhoto.
...so that I can load more pictures onto this computer.
...so that I can blog from here.
...and actually get my mini-photography business
going again.
...if people ever get to see each other again.

Doesn't she look like she's playing charades and
about to act out a movie?

Paige is the nicest kid.
She really is.
Here she is, helping her brother with his
Camlbak while still holding the dog's leash.
She's gonna be the best mom!

My bigs!

Our neighborhood is so enchanting...
you just gotta be willing to see it.

And here's Tate with a stick.
I love his strong love for alllll things outdoors.

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.
(Backing up for a sit.)

Or maybe charades for "Big Foot?"

...definitely a sit.
That's my girl.

home to the school continues

Yep, we’re still truckin’!
I know we’re still in the honeymoon
phase, but I’m hopeful our stamina continues.

I’m super hopeful that a clear/organized curriculum
is presented for us to follow.
That would help immensely.

Tate’s school is creating packets to pick up,
but nothing physical is being put together
for Paige.
I’m not expecting it to. Her district is
stingy on paper.

Tate prefers his lessons outside.
I fully support this.

We created a schedule to
*try* to follow.
So far so good.

Just know that there are wiggle breaks and
the start/stop times are fluid.
My favorite part is that my kids
don’t ask for electronics because they
know it’s in the schedule...at the
end of our school day.

Adding yoga was a smart move.
(Thanks, Erica and Elizabeth!)

Taters hard at work.

He has another workbook arriving Saturday
that hasn’t been colored in by Brooke.
Paige loves to encourage him!

And Brooke just loves to color.

Lunch outside!

More flowers from our long midday walks!

Art!

Bike rides!

And lots of lizards caught by this kid!

He makes Paige brave!

I think homeschooling in this house
will be Monday through Thursday.
Friday’s will be for fun projects
and no schedule.
Because why not?!
