So my dad called to see if we wanted
to go to the camper, and an hour later we
we’re on the road!
Who wants to go to the camper?!
Road trip warriors!
...but really we just have a bunch of
road trip snoozers.
I just really love Texas and still just think
it’s so pretty. Pretty sure I could be a
truck driver. (And at a low point in
college physics, I thought it was a career I
should switch to...)
We got to town, turned on the camper AC and
headed straight to the beach!
The kids got to touch a little hammerhead
shark while we were there!
It was so cool and we decided
not to tell Valerie since that will probably
keep her out of the water for all eternity.
Paige’s suit is just too cute!
I’m trying harder to get family pictures these
days. They don’t always turn
out perfect, but I love them!
Who doesn’t love a good camper party?
The lefties enjoyed drawing so much!
Thank goodness the camper is
crazy exciting for the kids. The weather
(and mosquitos) kept us inside a little more than usual.
Their first “can!”
There was a lot of “patient” waiting for a boat ride.
(aka this is the only second of actual patience
and I documented his cute little self)
And this girl really was patient.
(I’m loving age four!)
The wait is over!
I have no boat pictures, because Brooke and
I only lasted about 5 minutes and I
took her back to the camper.
Poor girl hated her life jacket.
Brooke took over the master bedroom while
we were there.
(Yes, she’s swaddled. Yes, she’s too old
to be swaddles. Yes, we’re trying to brake the
habit. No, it’s not going well)
Sleeping beauty fell asleep to Paige singing to her.
And look who rolled over for the first time in
many many months!
This laid back baby will be nine months old in a week.
Needless to say, it was a very quiet ride home.
And the kids new thing: “trapping” people inside the
house so that they can’t leave.
